Presentation Skills
Of all the skills required in modern business, being able to present effectively, powerfully and persuasively to a group of customers or colleagues is probably the most important. Millions of pounds of new business can rest on someone's ability to persuade a group that their proposition is better than their competition's. And we've known people's careers being made or damaged on the strength of their presentation. It's a crucial area and in our experience most people dread having to do it.
This does not need to be the case. We have trained thousands of people to overcome this fear and to become even more effective than they could have dreamed. If you have a particular requirement for presentation skills - whether it's for yourself or a member of your team - please call us on 0845 122 7117 or email

Persuasive Presentations Programme
A POWERFUL 2-DAY TRAINING COURSE
Develops presenters' ability to be both powerful and persuasive in any group situation. Each participant gives 11 presentations (leading to an eight minute presentation on the second day). They will be coached by an experienced and sympathetic trainer in a very positive environment. DVD and a second 'review' coach are used to help the feedback process. This is also used to show the participant how much he or she has developed in the two days. The number of participants is limited to give sufficient individual coaching and practice.
The programme is designed to assist each participant to develop and practice a real-life presentation which is currently important to their function. Examples might be a board report, a training session, a sales or pre-sales presentation, a 'motivational' talk, or a talk to explain and convince people of a new system.
WHO WILL BENEFIT
Anyone who has to present as part of their job and who believes that improvement is possible. After the two days it is quite likely that the inexperienced presenter will be keenly looking forward to trying out new skills in a business situation. The experienced presenter will feel more 'polished and powerful' and ready to try out new approaches.
OBJECTIVES
For the participants the programme will:
- increase confidence in front of the group
- highlight and encourage natural strengths
- seek to eliminate distracting mannerisms/speech patterns
- explore different ways of persuading and motivating a group
- show how to prepare the longer talk
- encourage the use of effective visual aids
- increase their flexibility
- enable them to start strongly, hold interest, and close powerfully
- help to present themselves at their best
CONTENT
What audiences really want to hear; being clear, convincing and motivational; using notes; developing confidence in front of the group; how to use audience questions to your advantage; the sales process - understanding how to use it with a group to get your point across; visual aids - knowing what to use for maximum effect; bringing PowerPoint slides 'alive'; six attention-getting ways to open a talk; five ways of closing powerfully; how to prepare talks of any length; talk mapping and structure for different purposes; how to practice.

Major Bid Presentations
This can take the form of 'live', on-site coaching on a bid or in the safe environment of a training room.
2-DAY BID SIMULATION
This programme is for advanced presenters who are regularly called upon to make group bid presentations and need to be more powerful and persuasive on the occasions they do. The two days are designed to be highly interactive with participants delivering six presentations on day one. Content comes from their own material leaving us free to work 100% on the delivery.
DVD is used for immediate feedback in a private 'Review Room'. With the coaching of an experienced trainer participants can expect to see significant improvements in the way they present and the impact they make. In addition, delegates typically gain new ideas about preparation, visual aids, and involving the audience for the best results.
Day 2 starts with the group being split into two competing teams matched against each other to simulate the bid process. Working on a case study, the teams receive coaching from our trainers as they prepare their pitch to be presented at the end of the day. Prizes can be awarded to the winning team who is decided by a senior member of your organisation.
WHO WILL BENEFIT
Any professional involved in business competitive bid situations i.e. account managers, technical experts, directors and pre-sales.
